Swansea Greener Grid Park
Swansea Greener Grid Park is a pioneering project to the west of Rhydypandy Road, Morriston that will help achieve zero carbon emissions in Wales by increasing the stability of the electricity grid and the amount of renewable energy being delivered to the grid network.
Greener Grid Parks are a collection of buildings and zero carbon technology which stabilise the grid, allowing more renewable energy to be transmitted through the network. They are not a wind or solar farm, the buildings resemble agricultural barns, storage units or shipping containers.
More information about the project
In addition to the project currently under construction (Jan 2025), Statkraft have submitted proposals to extend our Swansea Greener Grid Park on land to the west of Rhydypandy Road, Morriston.
